Installation Services
We offer a full-line of installation services including Planting, Hardscapes, Drip irrigation, Drainage, Purchasing, and Delivery.
Planting
All projects implement the Northeast Organic Farming Association (NOFA) planting standards. Prior to planting we amend the soil according to your soil test results, if required. We are attentive to each plant's needs, from plugs to specimen trees, taking special care to remove wire baskets from woody plants. If not removed at planting, the wire baskets will restrict root growth and eventually kill the plant.
Pumpkin Brook Organic Gardening will provide a carefully developed estimate for each planting so that you understand fully what the project will entail.
Hardscapes
Hardscapes such as a walkway, path, or patio is the perfect accompaniment to a landscape planting. They provide usable spaces and a functional way to move throughout and enjoy your property. At the same time they add beauty and value to your home landscape.
Our hardscape services include design and installation of:
- Concrete Paver/Brick walkways and patios
- Stepping Stone paths and patios
- Small fieldstone walls
- Unique natural stone projects
We also repair existing hardscape features. Examples include:
- Remortaring walls or walkways
- Replacing cracked bluestone
- Redirecting downspouts
Our drainage services include:
- Storm water management projects
- Building drywells
- Regrading planting areas to collect storm water for natural percolation
Drip Irrigation
A drip irrigation system will be designed and installed to meet the specific needs of each planting area. Drip irrigation systems are preferred over the conventional overhead spray system because the drip system is much more efficient at delivering the proper amount of water. This will prevent spread of foliar diseases and reduce water bills.
Purchasing & Delivery
We offer both purchasing and delivery services for plants, mulch, compost, and loam. Pumpkin Brook Organic Gardening puts every effort into using family-owned, local, and organic suppliers whenever possible.
