Consultation Services
Whether it is a property new to you or a home where you have lived for many years, you inevitably have management issues and questions about your landscape. A meeting with a professional seasoned in organic methods of maintenance and planting can help you sort out the options and set priorities. Remember that our work now encompasses both living plants and hardscapes in the garden. Many of our clients have yearly consultations with Pumpkin Brook, and we welcome these meetings at any time.
Property Evaluation
We'll start by walking the land together, and I'll ask you to lead me to the most important areas first. I will have a checklist of items relating to the aspect of your site, the amount of help you are seeking, and current conditions. You are welcome to pose your questions throughout our time together. On-the-spot recommendations may be given if you are interested in handling matters (or some of them) yourself.
Author Site Specific Plans
In some cases a written plan is called for, and we can oblige. Typically this encompasses a multi-year task list and may include maintenance, plant health care, transplanting, renovation of specific areas, and/or installation.
Garden Coaching
More and more people are interested in taking on some of the gardening tasks themselves but may feel in need of a friendly, live demonstration. Be it staking, deadheading, pruning or dividing a perennial, we're glad to show you how to do it, one-on-one. New vegetable gardeners, feel free to let us coach you along!
Recommendations for Complementary Services
While our list of services has certainly grown in the past few years, there are still a few things that we don't do (such as organic lawn care and tree climbing work). Below is a list of colleagues whom we recommend for covering the services we do not provide. Over the years we have worked together and find there is much synergy when an entire property is managed organically.
