Crew workday is 9:30 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday. Clientele based in Groton-Concord-Lexington area. You provide your own reliable transportation. A station wagon or small truck is a plus.

Supervisors may require additional hours.

Crew Supervisors (filled for 2008)

Supervisors lead crews of one to six people and direct daily work. At least two years previous experience, solid horticultural and plant knowledge, pruning expertise, installation know-how, certificate or degree in field preferred. Good communicator with clients, crew and managers. Pay scale $20-25 per hour, depending on experience. Full-time positions.

Crew Members (now hiring)

Seeking enthusiastic gardeners with basic horticultural knowledge, love of plants and the outdoors who can work in a team environment. Previous experience with planting and good common sense desired. Pay scale $12-20 per hour, depending on experience. Minimum requirement of two days per week, full-time preferred.

Seedling Assistant (filled for 2008)

A full-time gardener works in Townsend mid-March through early June under direction of president to manage custom seedling growing operation. Seed sowing, transplanting, watering, fertilizing, managing the hardening off process in temporary greenhouses. Attention to detail and accuracy of record keeping is critical. Carpentry skills a plus. Good driving record essential. Receive and make deliveries, load and unload vehicles, run errands to support crews doing field work. Position will be part-time to start and progress to full-time during late April. Supplemental work with crew available to fill time during early spring. Additional on-site work during season as required. Previous horticultural experience desired. Pay scale $15-16 per hour, depending on skills.
